The Business Innovation stream subclass 188A visa allows you to own and manage a business in Australia.
Basic requirements
You are under 55 years old at the time of invitation.
You score at least 65 on the points test.
You have an overall successful business career.
For two out of the four fiscal years immediately before you are invited to apply, your business has at least AUD500 000 turnover in each of those years
You own at least one of the following percentage of your nominated main business:
- 51 % if the business has a turnover of less than AUD400 000 per year
- 30 % if the business has a turnover of AUD400 000 or more per year
- 10 % if the business is a publicly listed company
You, your partner, or you and your partner combined must have total net business and personal assets of at least AUD800 000 that are lawfully acquired and available for legal transfer to Australia within two years of the visa being granted.
You have a genuine desire to continuously own and maintain a management role in a business in Australia by investing AUD200 000 to AUD500 000.
You can prove your Source of Fund.
Your dependent child must be under 23 years old (if applicable).
Application Process
Step 1: Prepare for your asset composition and Source of fund documents.
Step 2: Submit your Expression of Interest, EOI.
Step 3: Submit your state nomination application.
Step 4: Selected to apply.
Step 5: Provide further evidence (Upon request).
Step 6: Health check and police test.
Step 7: Visa Grant.
