This stream is for Points-tested skilled workers who are NOT sponsored by an employer or family member or nominated by a state or territory government. It allows you to live and work in Australia anywhere as a permanent resident.

Australian Skilled Visa | Basic requirements

You are under 45 years old at the time of invitation.

You have a relevant occupation.  

You have a suitable skills assessment for the occupation.

You pass the points test with 60 points.

You score at least IELTS 6.0 in all bands or equivalent in other acceptable English exams.

Your dependent child must be under 23 years old (if applicable).

Australian Skilled Visa | Application Process

Step 1: Get approval from a suitable Australia assessing body.

Step 2: Submit your Expression of Interest, EOI.

Step 3: Submit your state nomination application.

Step 4: Selected to apply.

Step 5: Provide further evidence (Upon request).

Step 6: Health check and police test.

Step 7: Visa Grant.
