由於紐西蘭人口老化問題加劇，大量的養老院逐漸落成，因此養老院的相關專業護理人員人手日漸短缺。
據統計，紐西蘭 85歲及以上的人口數量會增加兩倍，預計在未來 20年內會從85,000人增長到220,000人。護理人員一直以來都是紐西蘭十分緊缺的職業。這次紐西蘭大赦移民 (2021 Resident Visa) 的政策裡明確說明, Personal Carers and other Critical Health Workers 屬於緊缺職業 (scarce list)。
在 2022年 7月份前, 如申請人已獲得紐西蘭僱傭合約, 並通過豁免簽證入境紐西蘭，在紐西蘭雇主同意配合擔保的情況 下，可趕在 2022年 7月 30日提交大赦移民申請 。

New Zealand Job | Position Descriptions
Registered Nurse/ Enrolled Nurse
- Valid Registered Nurse/ Enrolled Nurse practicing certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong.
(持有香港護士管理局註冊或登記護士證書) - Need to work on shifts.
- Ability to work independently to assist in daily management operation.
- Responsible for planning and implementing quality nursing care services for elderly or disable residents.
- Supervise nursing services and provide relevant training.
Health Worker
- Valid Health Worker certificate.
(持有社署認可保健員證書及牌照、有效急救證書) - Need to work on shifts, proficient with Microsoft office.
- Responsible for assisting nurses to perform nursing care services for elderly or disable residents.
Care Worker
- Provide assist in the daily care to elderly or disable residents including food preparation and care for personal hygiene, etc.
New Zealand Job | Requirements
- Have 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- With a valid qualification in health care or a related field. 3-year work experience requirement may be exempted.
- Have strong communication, coordination skills and organizational planning ability. Have a sense of teamwork and good health.
